It’s good to take a break in your day to eat, so why not join us, the women of PWN, for lunch and social networking on the first Friday of each month at noon at Delancey Street Restaurant along San Francisco’s Embarcadero. An FAQ about our luncheons as well as menu descriptions can be found here>>
Our meetings start with friendly networking and the opportunity to strengthen existing relationships and create new ones. Lunch begins with thirty-second introductions from both guests and members where we learn about each other’s businesses, recent successes or results from a PWN referral. Introductions are followed by our featured speaker, either a professional guest speaker or more frequently a PWN member, and this all fits in the day from 12:00 noon – 1:30 p.m.
PWN Cultivates Relationships
Networking today is much more than a meet, greet and pass along leads. We invest time to develop business or personal friendships with one another, and take time to learn about each other’s business and how to best to help each other. There are no quotas here.
We Help Each Other Succeed
PWN offers several avenues to help you reach your professional and business goals, even your personal ones as well. Aside from networking at our monthly meetings, we also have a MeetUp page and at least once a month host a more casual meeting for coffee or a post-work glass of wine that’s open to both guests and MeetUp members.
And throughout each year, our members present and share their knowledge based on a range of topics to stimulate discussion, generate ideas and applications to our business lives. We actively encourage referrals through our meeting structure and in our socializing. Sharing ideas and encouraging the cross pollination of business gets support at PWN; we do business with each other, we are clients of each other and we hire each other.

In the spring of 1980, our founder Angela Joy Coppola wanted to organize a regular time and place to meet her peers who were balancing business and life issues similar to hers. She started with inviting friends and professionals to an informal lunch. That first conversation was so meaningful and well-received that it became the format for PWN lunch meetings still used today. Five years later in 1985, PWN established its first Board of Directors and gained 501 [c] 7 non-profit association status.
