Last week the weather was finally warm enough for me to get my summer clothes out of storage. I pulled out my shorts and dresses from the storage box and then put my sweaters and warm pajamas in, storing the box away. Summer is here!
As we head into the warmer months many of us are thinking about vacations, cook outs, graduation parties and summer gatherings, while others are thinking about how to manage their children not being in school. It’s easy during this time of year to cut back on professional networking events.
Regardless of summer’s pull to play, it’s important to maintain your business connections even if your work slows down during June, July and August. Often the connections you make at a meeting take months to turn into new business leads or helpful contacts. So keep coming to meetings! Just wear your summer frocks and sandals.
Our June Lunch & Learn meeting features member and former President of PWN, Breeze Carlile, owner of It’s a Breeze Moving. Her presentation on dealing with “all your stuff”comes from the place of true knowing, and the ability to powerfully deal with sorting and clearing out belongings we no longer need either for ourselves or family is an useful skill. Breeze will share with us her wisdom and experience in the dispersal of personal property – where to begin, how to sort, pack and then how to value, donate, sell or recycle.
See you at lunch,
