A New York native, I came to San Francisco in 1972, to work as VP/Creative Director of Holiday Magic, a direct selling company then located in San Rafael. I left New York because I knew that I didn’t want to live in the “jungle” the rest of my life, and San Francisco seemed like a “softer” city (it is). In 1976 I formed my own ad agency, which in its day won three ADDY awards (the San Francisco ad community’s Oscars) for the work we did on relaunching Stonestown Galleria, as well as other awards for the work we created. We specialized in fashion and retail. It was very exciting.
Sacred Silks, my current business, was founded in 1998 and we were just on QVC and we are awaiting our next air date. We manufacture silks using the art from Sacred Sites of the world as the inspiration for our designs. Our silks are home décor (wall hangings, table overlays and decorative pillows) and fashion accessories (scarves and ties).
From 1980, when I founded PWN, until now, PWN has been a source of great friendships, excellent business services, and much appreciated camaraderie. I have always been so thankful for the women I have met through PWN and worked with over the years. They continue to be a source of joy in my life.
