One of the most influential experiences of my life so far has been helping my parents as my mother struggled with Alzheimer’s disease. I was inspired by our challenges to become The Eldercare Coach. As The Eldercare Coach, I guide families through the process of caring for an aging or ailing family member. I help my clients focus on planning, locating appropriate resources and staying balanced and healthy while caring for a parent or other family member.
An outgrowth of my work with family caregivers has been becoming a certified Grief Recovery Specialist. Grief Recovery is a multipart program that helps people experiencing a significant loss express the thoughts and emotions that remain after a loss and move forward to healing.
I joined PWN because I was seeking a networking home in San Francisco, place where I can find support and inspiration both personally and professionally. In just a few months as a member, I have formed a significant marketing alliance with three other members who also serve Elders and their families.
I’m married to a native San Franciscan, Bill. Though originally from the Midwest, I have lived in the west since age five. After living in the City for the past 25 years I declare myself an honorary native
